Thank you for changing lives in 2025
As we look back on 2025, we're filled with gratitude for the incredible support we've received from the CURE UK community. Every donation, prayer, and act of encouragement has helped transform the lives of children living with treatable disabilities, giving them the opportunity to walk, play, learn, and look ahead to brighter futures.
One of the highlights of the year was our Christmas Carol Service at the Tower of London. It was a wonderful evening of celebration, bringing supporters together to reflect on the hope of the Christmas season and the impact we can make together.
We're also delighted to share the success of our Big Give Christmas Challenge. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, and the power of matched funding, we raised more than £19,000, including Gift Aid.
These funds are helping to provide 25 children at CURE Zimbabwe with corrective surgery for cleft lip and palate. For these children, surgery means far more than repairing a physical condition. It can improve feeding, speech, and confidence, helping them overcome the stigma and isolation that often accompanies untreated cleft conditions.
Across 2025, CURE Zimbabwe continued to have an extraordinary impact. The hospital welcomed 5,153 patient visits, cared for 1,228 admissions, and carried out 1,613 life-changing procedures, all free of charge. Beyond the operating theatre, the hospital reached 19,001 people through community outreach and holistic care, while 255 clinical trainees received hands-on training to strengthen Zimbabwe's healthcare system for the future.
Every one of these numbers represents a child, a family, and a future changed.
As we look ahead, the need for specialist surgical care remains as great as ever. Hundreds of children are still waiting for treatment, but thanks to the continued generosity of our supporters, more children will have the opportunity to receive the care they need and the hope they deserve.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
